The Manson Guesthouse consists of a 3-car garage and a 2-bedroom guest cottage. The new building sits next to the primary residence, a 1930’s classic home that has been in the family for several generations. Though the guesthouse design references the original home in its form and detailing. , the interior provides a more modern, open and airy living area, with 2 cozy bedrooms and a shared bath tucked beneath the eaves. The 800 sf cottage offers a place for guests to relax and have their own space while remaining visually connected to the main house and lawn. Special care was taken to honor the existing house and site. The lumber used for the wood ceiling was salvaged from the original garage.
